Community Outreach Project

Our Community Outreach Project is about providing advice in the community and in person.

We will help clients who access this service, to understand both their rights and responsibilities, ensuring that they are able to make informed choices about the problems they face.

Aims of the project

People living on low incomes or who have accessed emergency food provision will be able to accesss one-to-one advice including:
  • Income maximisation and a benefits check to explore the range of available entitlements

  • Advice and assistance with benefit applications, as well as challenging benefit decisions

  • Support with debt and money worries
  • Support and eligibility for emergency support and grants e.g fuel voucher

  • Help with housing problems
  • Help with problems at work

  • Family and relationship issues

  • Basic immigration advice e.g. identifying what type of visa you need

  • Problems with community care and mental health provision

How do I get an appointment?

To get an appointment, you can go directly to the venue where the staff can make a referral to us or you can contact us directly. An adviser will be available at each venue to provide advice. This will normally be a pre-booked appointment.
